As Studio Director, Kate has been involved in many of the Sydney Studios key projects – providing expertise in strategic design, design development and construction detailing, as well as being a key partner in all aspects of running the studio.

Over the last 2 years Kate has led teams working on significant urban renewal and infrastructure projects including the Sydney International Convention, Exhibition and Entertainment precinct; North West Rail Link; and Sydney Light Rail. Through these projects, Kate has developed expertise in designing public domains integrated with public transport infrastructure.

She is an advocate for high quality integrated play space design and child friendly cities and regularly presents at conferences, universities and to forums for AILA members.

She was involved with a significant urban renewal project, Darling Quarter. This involved the revitalisation of Darling Harbour and included the design of the most visited children’s play space in Sydney.

Kate utilises her strong organisational and team management skills plus 14 years of technical and construction experience to direct senior staff on many projects and foster their knowledge and abilities.

Kate has been involved in the design resolution, documentation and construction administration of completed projects including the award winning Darling Quarter in Darling Harbour, Cranbrook Junior School in Rose Bay, and the University of Technology, Sydney’s Alumni Green.
