NSW Police Headquarters Building, Parramatta

The podium landscape for NSW Police’s new central administrative headquarters is structured as a series of outdoor rooms.

The predominantly paved northern entry courtyard addresses street frontage through a low water feature that establishes a focus to the street corner.

A more secluded, lush garden space punctuated by sculptural sandstone blocks sets up the outlook from the building along the northern boundary.

The central northern courtyard operates as a link between the two wings of the headquarters building and generates internal dining areas and shaded respite. The three surface treatments of the ground plane articulate program. Paving facilitates circulation, while gravel banding suggests seating.
