Elwood Foreshore

Creating simple clarity of space and usability was an essential component in the redevelopment of Elwood Foreshore. The foreshore is the focus of beach activity for the residents of the Elwood area and beyond. The redevelopment includes new regional cycle way, beach plaza, indigenous plantings, and a new car park with water sensitive urban design.

The design rationalises roadway and car parking systems, creates shared pathways and surfaces where possible, reduces conflict between bicycles, pedestrians and motor vehicles, and provides clearly demarcated areas for large events and club usage, while at the same time producing a space that is simply enjoyable to use.
