University of Melbourne Construction Staging

The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning is working towards creating a world-leading centre of education and research focused on the built environment. Following an international design competition in 2009, which attracted 133 submissions from 15 countries, John Wardle Architects (Melbourne) and NADAAA (Boston) was appointed to deliver the vision for a living, pedagogical building that is an exemplar of sustainable design and transformative teaching.

The new building is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to articulate its strategic objectives, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and sustainability through the design and delivery of an outstanding centrally located campus building.

In support of Baulderstone’s bid for the Construction contract, ASPECT Studios prepared Construction Staging visualisations. The staging diagrams would demonstrate Baulderstone’s methodology and construction process and helped shortlist the company to one of two finalists.
