Green space and laneway rejuvenation are at the heart of The Triplets, a precinct in the centre of Brisbane’s CBD currently being designed by ASPECT Studios Brisbane office. A public realm connecting three high-rise buildings bounded by Mary, Charlotte and George Streets, dubbed “The Triplets”, it will offer an outdoor escape for office and government workers from these adjacent buildings, two of which are being refurbished as part of a precinct-wide update. ASPECT Studios sees a diversity of uses and activities as key to the success of the space, and is developing a strong concept through a combination of spatial layout and programmed events.

Following a detailed analysis of behavioural patterns within public spaces, landscape areas will be incorporated into both interior and exterior retail spaces to create vibrant and useable public spaces that support adjacent retail areas, blurring the line between inside and outside. Working closely with the client (QIC) and the design team, ASPECT Studios Brisbane sees this as an ideal opportunity to innovate urban realm design solutions in a multi-purpose destination for city workers. ASPECT Studios Brisbane has successfully designed and delivered public spaces with QIC on Grand Central Toowoomba, Robina Town Centre and One William St for the QLD State Government.
